SPORT CLIMBING ASSOCIATION LIECHTENSTEIN JOINS IFSC AS 102ND MEMBER
The inclusion will be ratified at next year’s XXIII IFSC General Assembly.
The Executive Board of the IFSC met online on 14 May and voted for the inclusion of the Sport Climbing Association Liechtenstein as the 102nd National Federation of the IFSC – the 45th in Europe.
The organisation is led by President Kathrin Sele, and has already made its official debut at this year’s third Youth European Cup in Molde, Norway, where 15-year-old Jonas Rheinberger became the first-ever climber representing his country at an IFSC event.
The inclusion will be ratified at the next IFSC General Assembly, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in Spring 2026. Following the ratification, the voting rights of the SCAL will come into effect.
