GUIYANG, CHINA, TO HOST FINAL SPEED WORLD CUP OF 2025 SEASON

The World Cup Series will return to China for thrilling Speed finale ahead of the IFSC World Championships Seoul 2025.

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and the Chinese Mountaineering Association (CMA) are pleased to announce that Guiyang, China, will host the final event of the IFSC Speed World Cup Series 2025.

Scheduled for 12 and 13 September, the event replaces the previously cancelled IFSC World Cup in Klagenfurt, Austria, completing a six-leg journey that already stopped in Wujiang, China; and Bali, Indonesia; and will continue in Denver, Colorado, USA; Krakow, Poland; and Chamonix, France. The event will also serve as the decisive competition in determining the overall Speed World Cup Rankings presented by Euroholds.

This newly confirmed stop will not only round off this year’s Speed Series, but also set the stage for the most anticipated event of the year – the IFSC Climbing and Para Climbing World Championships Seoul 2025, taking place from 20 to 28 September.

The Guiyang event will be the third World Cup held in China in 2025 after the season’s opening rounds in Keqiao and Wujiang, cementing China’s status as a crucial hub for Climbing international events.

The IFSC would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to CMA for their collaboration in the organisation of the event.

News and updates about all IFSC events will be available on the IFSC website, and on the Federation’s digital channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, X, YouTube, and exclusively for the Chinese audience, Douyin, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu.
