EVERY MEDALLIST AT THE IFSC YOUTH EUROPEAN CUP MOLDE 2025

Germany and Italy won gold in the U17 events, while France placed first in both U19 finals.

The fourth IFSC Youth European Cup of 2025 took place in Molde, Norway, on 24 and 25 May, with 164 athletes from 24 European nations competing in women's and men's Boulder across two age categories: U17 and U19.

TRANQUILLI WINS FIRST GOLD, MAYER-VORFELDER CONFIRMS

The winner of the women's U17 Boulder event at the IFSC Youth World Championships in Curno, Italy – Germany's 15-year-old Paula Mayer-Vorfelder – jumped on the highest step of the podium for the second time in a few days. The German talent placed first in the final with 74.3 points and three tops, including a flash on W2. The podium was completed by Lou Aclair of France, second with 60.0 points, and Rafael Kazbekova of Ukraine, third with 59.7.

In the men’s final of the same age category, Matteo Tranquilli of Italy won his first-ever gold medal with a 0.3-point margin over Moreno Ghilardi of Switzerland, who settled for silver. The climber from Torino totalised 69.4 points, and Ghilardi 69.1.

Israel's Or Mark – gold medallist at Soure 2025 – followed in close third and won bronze with 69.0.

FRANCE TAKE BOTH U19 GOLDS

Another close battle went down in the women's U19 final, where the top six athletes in the final all finished within a spain of 0.9 points.

Louise Puech Yazid of France scored 69.8 points and placed first, just 0.5 points ahead of her teammate Luna Alvernhe – second with 69.3. The same score was totalised by Bibi Hamers of the Netherlands, who eventually placed third because of a lower placement in the previous round.

Another French climber – 16-year-old Camille Claude – dominated the men's U19 event, securing gold with 84.4 points. Andrés Vila Andrés of Spain and Jonas Körner of Germany completed the podium in second and third position, respectively. The Spaniard won his first-ever IFSC medal with 73.6 points, and the German 17-year-old also podiumed for the first time with 69.4.
