EVERY MEDALLIST AT THE IFSC YOUTH EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS CURNO 2025

France, Israel, Spain, and Germany all won golds.

The IFSC Youth European Championships wrapped up in Curno, Italy, with 390 athletes from 35 nations competing in Boulder across three age categories: U17, U19, and U21.

GERMANY AND ISRAEL WON U17 GOLDS

In the women’s U17 final, Paula Mayer-Vorfelder of Germany won with an impressive margin in a round where few climbers managed high scores. Rafael Kazbekova of Ukraine placed second and continued her strong run after taking silver in Soure, while Adela Bodanska of Czechia completed the podium.

The men’s U17 Men’s event saw a familiar rivalry return: Maayan Bauer of Israel claimed gold after finishing second last year, while teammate Itamar Harel —last year’s champion—took silver. Austria’s Adrian Kathan followed in third.

She was followed by two Israeli athletes: Tamar Cohen and Alma Sapir Halevi, second and third respectively, who both returned to the podium after earlier successes this season.

French talent Samuel Richard successfully defended his European title in the men’s U19 final, also topping all four boulders. He was followed by silver medal winner Lukas Mokrolusky of Czechia, and bronze medal winner Matteo Reusa of Italy.
