Competition schedule by day and session revealed as Para Climbing prepares for first Paralympic appearance.
The LA28 Organising Committee has released the full Paralympic schedule by day and session, coinciding with the 1,000-day milestone to the Paralympic Games LA28. The announcement confirms that Para Climbing will make its historic Paralympic debut across four days of competition, from 24 to 27 August 2028 – days nine, 10, 11, and 12 of the Games.
This marks a major moment for Para Climbing, as the sport joins the Paralympic programme following LA28’s groundbreaking achievement in 2024, when it became the first Organising Committee in history to propose and successfully add a new sport to the schedule.
PARA CLIMBING SCHEDULE AT LA28
Para Climbing at LA28 will include medal events on three of the four competition days, with the following session structure confirmed:
Thursday, 24 August (UTC-8:00):
From 09:15 to 13:10
From 17:45 to 19:40
Friday, 25 August:
From 09:15 to 13:10
From 17:30 to 19:30
Saturday, 26 August:
17:15 to 19:15
Sunday, 27 August:
From 10:00 to 12:00
The publication of the schedule brings the Paralympic debut of Para Climbing one step closer, giving athletes, fans, and National Federations their first detailed look at how the programme will unfold at the Long Beach Climbing Theater.
