Sport Climbing is set for six days of Olympic action at the Long Beach Climbing Theater from 24 to 29 July.
Three years out from the start of the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 (LA28), the Organising Committee has unveiled the first look at the competition schedule, including session times for all sports. Among the key highlights, Climbing is set to be featured in six days of Olympic competition, from 24 to 29 July 2028, at the newly announced Long Beach Climbing Theater.
The venue, located within the Long Beach Zone, will serve as the venue for both Climbing and Para Climbing competitions. The zone will also feature beach volleyball, coastal rowing, open water swimming, sailing, artistic swimming, water polo, handball, shooting, canoe sprint, and rowing—offering fans an immersive and multi-sport experience by the Southern California coastline.

Day 15 of competition—Friday 28 July—will go down as one of the most memorable days in Olympic history when the most medals of the Games will be awarded. On this action-packed day, the Finals for 19 individual sports, including Climbing, as well as 16 team sport medal matches, will take place across the Greater Los Angeles area.
LA28 will officially open on Friday, 14 July 2028, with a double-venue Opening Ceremony held at the LA Memorial Coliseum and the 2028 Stadium in Inglewood. The Games will then close on Sunday, 30 July, with the Closing Ceremony taking place at the LA Memorial Coliseum, capping off 17 days of competition across 844 ticketed events.
