The first-ever IFSC World Cup event in Chile is set to take place from 23 to 25 October next year.
The IFSC is pleased to announce that Santiago, Chile, will host an IFSC Climbing World Cup from 23 to 25 October 2026. The event will feature competitions in both the Lead and Speed disciplines, bringing the best climbers on the international circuit to the Chilean capital.
This historic event will mark the first-ever IFSC Climbing World Cup held in Chile, and only the second in South American history. Earlier this year, Curitiba, Brazil, made history by welcoming the continent’s debut World Cup, hosting a Boulder event in May 2025.
In October 2023, Santiago also staged the Pan American Games, where climbers from across the Americas competed for a full set of Olympic quota places for Paris 2024. Just a few months later, in March 2024, the Chilean capital also hosted the XXI IFSC General Assembly, further cementing its position as a key location for the global Climbing community.
Further details about the IFSC World Cup Series 2026 will be announced in the coming weeks.
