KYRA CONDIE AND CAMPBELL HARRISON NOMINATED TO LEAD IFSC ATHLETES’ COMMISSION

Chair and Vice Chair nominated at the first meeting of the newly formed Commission.

The IFSC is pleased to announce the election of Kyra Condie of the USA as Chair of the IFSC Athletes’ Commission, and Campbell Harrison of Australia as Vice Chair. Their election took place during the first meeting of the newly formed Athletes’ Commission, which met online for the first time following the renewal of mandates in 2025.

Voting for the new members of the Commission was held online from 15 to 24 September, with climbers and para climbers from around the world casting their votes to shape the body that represents them. The election brought seven members into the Commission, replacing six whose mandates expired in 2025.

The newly elected members are: Julia Fiser of Austria, Frederik Leys of Belgium, Corinna Wimmer of Germany, Michael Piccolruaz of Italy – re-elected after completing his previous term – Erik Noya Cardona of Spain, Emmanuel Onyango of Africa, appointed by IFSC President Marco Scolaris, and Samuel Watson of the USA. They will join the members elected in 2023: Alannah Yip of Canada, Alex Khazano of Israel, Nonaka Miho of Japan, and Ievgeniia Kazbekova of Ukraine.

Condie and Harrison succeed Shauna Coxsey of Great Britain and Sean McColl of Canada, who previously served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Commission, respectivley. Both Coxsey and McColl were instrumental in representing athletes’ voices at the highest levels of the IFSC.

The IFSC extends its deepest gratitude to Coxsey, McColl, and all outgoing members of the Commission for their tireless work and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Climbing worldwide.
