Kathy Foo Kune, Secretary General of the Mauritius Climbing Federation, has been elected as an Executive Board member of the Mauritius National Olympic Committee (NOC) for the 2025–2028 mandate.

Each member federation of the Mauritius NOC was entitled to nominate a candidate for a specific position, with Climbing represented in the election for a seat on the Executive Board.

A total of eight candidates were nominated, with four to be elected by vote from the 30 NOC members. Foo Kune was among those four successful candidates, securing her place on the Executive Board and marking a significant milestone for the Mauritius Climbing Federation.

Foo Kune commented: "It is a true honour to join the Executive Board of the Mauritius Olympic Committee. I am fully committed to contributing to the development of sport in Mauritius and to promoting Olympic values across all disciplines. This also allows me to better promote Climbing in Mauritius, increase its visibility, and help grow the sport on the island."
