Although the men’s competition got underway as scheduled in Keqiao, heavy rainfall meant that the qualification round was cancelled. The plan now is for all athletes to take part in the semi-final round using the qualification format, and the final round of the men’s competition featuring 20 athletes in a semi-final format. This is similar to how the IFSC World Cup Seoul 2023 was decided when it experienced adverse weather conditions.
