The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Italian National Olympic Committee.
IFSC President Marco Scolaris was in Rome, Italy, on 4 February to meet with the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach, with a group Italian sports leaders from national and international sports organisations.
Welcomed by the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) Giovanni Malagò, the group of sports authorities included Francesco Ricci Bitti, former President of the Association of Summer Olympic Sports Federation, IOC Member and President of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation Ivo Ferriani, International Shooting Sport Federation President Luciano Rossi, and World Skate President Sabatino Aracu.
In his speech, President Bach thanked Marco Scolaris and all the other leaders for their continuous support throughout his 12 years of presidency.
The meeting took place at the CONI headquarters, where President Scolaris was previously awarded with the Golden Collar, the highest honour awarded by CONI.
