IFSC CLIMBING WORLD CUP PRAGUE 2025: FACTS AND STATS

This year's fourth Boulder World Cup competition is packed with decorated climbers and rising stars.

The IFSC Climbing World Cup Prague 2025 is the 410th Climbing World Cup event in history, featuring the 156th Boulder World Cup competition for both female and male athletes. Also, it is the eighth Climbing World Cup held in Czechia, the fifth in Prague.

A total of 180 – 85 women and 95 men – are registered to compete, representing 40 countries and territories from all five continents.

ATHLETES’ HIGHLIGHTS

Four of last year's six medallists in Prague are expected to compete: Naïlé Meignan of France and Oceania Mackenzie of Australia in the women's Boulder event; Lee Dohyun of South Korea and Toby Roberts of Great Britain in the men's one.

Germany's Afra Hönig is expected to compete in her 40th World Cup event.

Japan's Anraku Sorato won gold at the first three Boulder World Cup competitions of the season, but failed to podium in his two previous participations in Prague – he placed seventh in 2023 and 4th in 2024.

Several young climbers are making their debut in Prague after stepping on Continental podiums earlier in the season: Tamar Cohen of Israel won gold at the Youth European Cup in Graz, Austria, and silver at the IFSC Youth European Championships in Curno, Italy; Stella Giacani of Italy won silver in Rome, Italy, where this year's second European Cup took place; Murakoshi Kaho of Japan took silver at the Asian Cup in Hong Kong last March; and Neza Zajc of Slovenia finished second in Graz behind Cohen.

Andrés Vila Andrés of Spain placed second at the European Cup in Molde, Norway; Matteo Reusa of Italy won two bronzes: at the Youth European Cup in Soure, Portugal, and in Curno;

THE PROGRAMME

The programme of the IFSC Climbing World Cup Prague 2025 will open on Friday, 6 June with men's qualification at 9:00 (UTC+2:00) and women's qualification at 16:00. Men's Boulder semi-final and final are scheduled for Saturday, 7 June, respectively at 12:00 and 18:30, while the show will close on Sunday with the women's Boulder semi-final and final, also set to start at 12:00 and 18:30.
