Full slate of finalists confirmed at IFSC Para Climbing World Cup Innsbruck 2025.

The IFSC Para Climbing World Cup Innsbruck 2025 wrapped up its qualification rounds today at Kletterzentrum Innsbruck. Athletes across all sport classes – B, AL, AU, and RP – secured their places in tomorrow's finals.

B CLASS ATHLETES SET STANDARD

In the three men’s events of B sport classes, Aita Sho of Japan placed first in B1, while Romania swept B2 and B3 with Razvan Nedu and Cosmin Florin Candoi respectively taking first place.

In the women’s field, Nadia Bredice of Italy led the B1 event, and Team USA took B2 and B3 with Seneida Biendarra and Linn Poston.

“Qualification was really fun,” said Poston. “I liked the first route on the face—good combo of strength and technique. I’m trying to become a more versatile climber, incorporating some Boulder, because the cruxes of the routes are basically Boulder problems.”

FRENCH AND GERMAN CLIMBERS LEAD AL/AU CLASSES

Qualifications in Innsbruck also saw some standout performances in the AL and AU categories: Austria’s Angelino Zeller topped the men’s AL1 category, while France’s Thierry Delarue led in AL2. Germany’s Kein Bartke took first in men’s AU2, and Mason Keough of the USA came out on top in AU3.

Competing in the fourth Para Climbing World Cup of his career, Denmark's Peter Tramm did not make it to the final: "Qualification was hard for me, I don't think I was where I was supposed to be to give it one-hundred percent. But the routes were good and I learned a lot from them.

"You can always get better and learn from a competition, even after ten years. Now I'm looking forward to the World Championships in Seoul!" concluded Tramm.

“I made it to the final for the first time, meaning I will be on the podium for the first time in my career,” said Watanabe Masako of Japan, who qualified in women’s AL2. “I finished fifth two years ago here in Innsbruck, and fourth in 2024—now I will go for first place!”
