Olympians and World Championships participants headline the field set to compete in Fukuoka.
The stage is set for the debut edition of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Nations Grand Finale 2025, taking place in Fukuoka, Japan, from 23 to 26 October. The event will bring together some of the strongest national teams on the circuit, featuring both Boulder and Lead competitions in a unique, invitation-based format designed to showcase teamwork, strategy, and innovation.
A select group of nations will take part in this inaugural edition, each confirming their participation with a group of talented athletes. Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, South Korea, and the USA will present a mix of Olympic experience, World Championships pedigree, and emerging talent.
FULL LINEUP ANNOUNCED
The lineup features Olympians Anraku Sorato, Lee Dohyun, Seo Chaehyun, and Nonaka Miho, alongside several climbers who competed at the IFSC Climbing World Championships in Seoul, South Korea – including Amagasa Sohta, Tanii Natsuki, Yoshida Satone, Nakamura Mao, Chon Yejin, Oh Gayeong, Kim Chaeyeong, Jung Yejin, Noh Hyunseung, Matthew Rodriguez, Hugo Dorval, Dylan Parks, Vail Everett, Declan Osgood, and Zoe Yi.

STRATEGY, TEAMWORK, AND NEW FORMATS
Athletes will compete under newly developed competition formats that emphasise collaboration and strategic decision-making. National team coaches will play an active role, working alongside athletes to develop their approach to each round.
Drawing inspiration from the Boulder Mixed Team event successfully tested in Salt Lake City, USA, in 2021, the Grand Finale expands the concept into a two-discipline format that will provide interesting dynamic team interactions.
