France celebrates double success at the final IFSC European Cup of 2025 in Toulouse-Tournefeuille.
Started in Munich, Germany, back in March of this year, the IFSC European Cup Series 2025 concluded in Toulouse–Tournefeuille, France, with the 11th and final event, featuring this year’s third Lead competition.
Some 96 climbers from 20 nations competed at the Quéfets sport complex, with France eventually taking gold in both women’s and men’s finals.
POUGET, AVEZOU GIVE FRANCE TWO MORE GOLDS
The highlight came on home soil, as Camille Pouget of France claimed women’s gold in front of a loud local crowd. Pouget, who scored 50+, finished ahead of Lynn Van Der Meer of the Netherlands, the silver medal winner with 47+, and Michaela Smetanova of Czechia, who took bronze with 46+.
For Pouget – who also competed in five of this year’s six Lead World Cups, placing fifth in Chamonix, France – this marks her first Continental medal in her first European competition of 2025.

Meanwhile, the men’s final concluded with an all-French podium, led by Léo Avezou at the end of a tight, low-scoring round decided by countback.
The older brother of Paris 2024 Olympians Sam and Zélia Avezou took first place with a score of 32+, matching teammate Akyan Etchar, who added this medal to the Youth European Championships silver he won earlier this year in Žilina, Slovakia.
Younès Aubert Masmoudi completed the French sweep, finishing third with 30+ in the final event of the season.
