This year’s fourth and penultimate European Cup in Speed saw France and Italy claim five of the six available medals.
On the same weekend of the IFSC Climbing World Cup in Guiyang, China, more Speed action took place in the heart of Europe, more precisley Hamburg, Germany, where 52 climbers from nations battled in the unique setting of the Europa Passage center.
FRENCH DERBY FOR GOLD GOES TO REBREYEND
France’s Pierre Rebreyend claimed gold in the men’s Speed event, stopping the clock at 5.00 seconds in the final—faster than his official personal best of 5.08. Rebreyend’s teammate Guillaume Moro slipped and finished in 6.40 seconds, taking silver.
Germany’s Andrin Zelder completed the podium with a time of 5.33 seconds, edging out Italy’s Alessandro Giorgianni, who had a faulty run and finished in 12.67 seconds.

COLLI TAKES GOLD BY THE NARROWEST MARGIN
Paris 2024 Olympians Beatrice Colli of Italy and Capucine Viglione of France went head-to-head in the women’s gold medal race, with Colli narrowly winning by seven thousandths of a second—7.012 against 7.019—claiming her first medal of 2025.
The bronze went to another Italian, Agnese Fiorio, who beat teammate Sara Strocchi with a time of 7.09 seconds to 8.54.
