Making its debut on the IFSC World Cup circuit is the renowned island.
The IFSC Climbing World Cup Bali 2025 is the 406th World Cup event in history, featuring the 232nd Lead and 141st Speed World Cup competitions. Also, it is the 3rd Climbing World Cup held in Indonesia, and the first in Bali.
The two previous World Cup events held in Indonesia took place in Jakarta in 2022 and 2023; also in 2023, the capital of Indonesia hosted the IFSC Asian Qualifier 2023, presenting four quota places to the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
ATHLETES’ HIGHLIGHTS
France's Hélène Janicot is registered to compete in her 75th Lead World Cup competition, while Chinese Taipei's Lee Hung Ying will record her 67th start across all disciplines. At 39 years old, Lee is one of them mot experienced climbers in the circuit, and her first-ever World Cup event dates back to 12 August 2007 – only a few month after the foundation of the IFSC!
Germany's Christph Hanke and Sebastian Halenke will attend their 62nd and 61st Lead World Cup competitons, respectively.
In Speed, Polish athletes Marcin Dzienski and Anna Brozek – who also happen to be married with each other – will participate in their 65th and 49th Speed World Cup competitions.

THE PROGRAMME
The IFSC Climbing World Cup Bali 2025 will kick off tomorrow, 1 May, with Lead qualifications, starting at 14:00 (UTC+8:00). Speed qualifications and finals will follow on Saturday, 2 May, while Lead semi-finals and finals are set to close the show on 4 May.
