When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
I don’t know, it was my goal but I didn’t expect to be in the top 10. In my first competitions I was always out of semi-final and then I reached the top ten in few years.
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
I like to compete against other climbers, it is harder than climbing outside and this motivates me a lot.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
It’s hard to find sponsors to help me with travels and expenses.
What influenced you to start competing?
I started competing just one month after I started climbing, it was funny to compete in regional competition with friends and I kept competing.
Who most helped you get to where you are right now?
My parents Valter and Lucia and my trainer Roberto Bagnoli helped me a lot. My parents are my fans and cheer for me during competitions, my trainer help me during training and comps.
What advice could you give to Young Athletes?
Train hard for both competition and rock climbing, I think together they are a perfect mix for improve your skills and satisfaction.
