With the goal of improving the quality of Sport Climbing competitions, the IFSC has summarised the main criteria of selection for IFSC competitions. The criteria has been identified as both crucial for the running of events and/or important to achieve in the coming years. The evaluation of all candidatures conducted by the IFSC is based on the analysis of such criteria.

The IFSC supports National Federations with programmes that can create a legacy for the community and the country. Such support is concretely released with tailor-made support in structuring programmes for development of National Federations and recommendations on infrastructure, sport personnel, and event management, coaches, and athletes’ development.
