JAPAN, SLOVENIA BRING TEN CLIMBERS INTO THE MEN’S BOULDER SEMI-FINAL
The men’s Boulder qualification round of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup in Meiringen, Switzerland, closed the inaugural day of the event.
Zan Lovenjak Sudar of Slovenia and Narasaki Tomoa of Japan signed off at the top of the two groups of athletes, respectively with five tops and five zones, and four tops and five zones.
The Japanese team added five more climbers to the field of athletes advancing to the semi-final round: Ogata Yoshiyuki, Inoue Yuji, Dohi Keita, Takata Tomoaki, and Fujii Kokoro; while Gregor Vezonik, Anze Peharc, and Jernej Kruder joined their teammate Lovenjal Sudar.
Furthermore, France also placed four athletes in the top-20: Olympian Mickael Mawem, promising talents Paul Jenft and Mejdi Schalck, and 2021 World Championship bronze medalist Manuel Cornu.

Men’s Boulder event will reprise on Sunday: the semi-final is scheduled at 11:00 AM (UTC+2:00), while the final will kick off at 4:00 PM.
