IFSC World Cup Kranj to Receive International Broadcasting Coverage
The IFSC Climbing World Cup continues this weekend, with the fourth instalment of the 2019 Lead series in Kranj, Slovenia. Thanks to a number of deals secured by the IFSC, along with the support of Broadreach Media and marketing agencies Synca/Dentsu, the event is set to achieve international broadcasting coverage.
J Sports is scheduled to kick off the live coverage of the event in Japan, broadcasting the World Cup Kranj from 00.00 – 03.00 JST on Monday morning. Slovenian spectators are able to watch their home nation event live on RTV Slovenia, if not heading to the Slovenian city of Kranj to cheer on their athletes in person. In Latin America, viewers can tune into the action live via ESPN Latin America and in Europe, the competition is set to be covered live on Eurosport Player. Further live coverage will be available online through the Olympic Channel, where Sport Climbing fans around the world can watch the event both live and following the event, on-demand.
In the USA, NBC is to broadcast delayed coverage of the IFSC World Cup Kranj on Sunday 29th September from 20.05 – 21.15, then in France, the event will be aired delayed-as-live on Equipe from 19.00 – 21.00. Korean channel Eclat and Vietnamese broadcaster FPT are also set to broadcast the World Cup delayed following the event.
Japanese channel NHK will show highlights of the competition, together with the IFSC World Cup Xiamen next month.
The event is also set to be streamed live on the IFSC YouTube channel, where both replays and highlights will be made available to watch on-demand after the event concludes.
