When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
I started at the age of 14 in my first year of the category Youth B, where I had no idea what it would lead to.
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
Acutally I started climbing in the gym and I did not realise how enjoyable climbing outside would be for a long time.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
One of my main problems I have to go through is that I put myself under pressure in performing well, especially in competitions. As an elite athlete, we also have to go without many things such as go partying regularly and having a lack of leisure time.
What influenced you to start competing?
When I decided to enforce my climbing, I joined the climbing team Imst and then I automatically started to join competitions.
Who most helped you get to where you are right now?
Especially my family supported me in any way they could. My trainer Rupert Messner made it possible that I climb currently at this level with knowledge.
What advice could you give to Young Athletes?
The most important thing is to enjoy the life and do what you want whatever it is; success in life is not that important as most people think, of course if it comes to success, it is beautiful.
