When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
I did not. I just had a lot of fun and always tried to give my best and I am happy it worked out so well.
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
I liked the challenge of competitions, where in comparison to outside climbing you only have that one go like in Lead or just the 5 minutes per problem like in bouldering to perform.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
I guess the time I struggled the most was while and after I was injured. I hate it not being able to climb and it is a hard way back to the top 10
What influenced you to start competing?
In Innsbruck I was part of a climbing team and all the others competed, so I did the same.
Who most helped you get to where you are right now? For sure my first Trainer Reini Scherer and all my teammates who I was and still am training with.
What advice could you give to Young Athletes?
To train hard, but never forget to have fun and to climb together with other strong climbers and learn from them.
