DR JOONG-HO SON ELECTED AS NEW KOREAN ALPINE FEDERATION PRESIDENT

After serving as Director and Vice President for 18 years – between 1998 and 2016 – Dr Joong-Ho Son has been elected as the 21st President of the Korean Alpine Federation (KAF) on 18 December 2020, with the official inauguration taking place on 26 February 2021.

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) would like to congratulate Dr Son for the election and is looking forward to a close, fruitful cooperation in the years to come.

The KAF is one of the seven IFSC Golden Members, and in October 2021 will organise the first IFSC World Cup hosted by the Korean capital, Seoul.
