Results of the IFSC Bouldering World Cup Munich 2013

It was an exciting end to the Bouldering World Cup 2013 series at the World Cup in Munich. An exciting and challenging Semi-finals lead to mixed results, with a few new faces in the Finals and a few familiar ones noteably absent. There was even more excitement in the Finals as both winners, men's and women's, were decided in the last few minutes.

The favorite to win on the women's side, Anna Stöhr, managed to cinch her seventh Gold medal of the series on the final boulder. She was already guaranteed first place in the overall series, but this final victory was just the icing on the fabulous cake that was this season for her.
On the men's side, a new face made his way onto the podium last night. Rei Sugimoto won his first Gold, and first medal, at a World Cup event. He put on a very strong performance and his medal was well deserved. Expect to see more great things from him at future competitions.
