The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) takes place each year on April 6th and this year, the occasion coincided with the IFSC Bouldering World Cup in Meiringen, Switzerland.

Established by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in 2013, April 6th celebrates the power of sport to drive social change, improve community development, promote peace and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. As part of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Peace and Sport invites sport organisations, international institutions, governments, high level athletes and members of society to share a #WhiteCard photograph on social media to promote peace.

In support of the #WhiteCard campaign, spectators of the IFSC Bouldering World Cup in Meiringen raised their white cards during the competition finals on Saturday evening.
