
World Cup Wujiang to be Watched Around the World
The Chinese segment of the IFSC World Cup Series continues this weekend with Bouldering and Speed events in Fenhu Wujiang, located in the Eastern province of Jiangsu, China. As with the first three events of the season the IFSC World Cup Wujiang will be broadcast internationally, thanks to a set of broadcasting deals secured by the IFSC which aim to increase the exposure of the sport in the approach to next year’s Olympic Games.
In Japan, J Sports are to broadcast Bouldering live, with NHK, SkyA and TBS showing highlights. CCTV, Host Broadcaster of last weekend’s World Cup in Chongqing, China, is set to broadcast delayed coverage of the Bouldering and Speed competitions across the country. Shanghai Media Group hosts broadcast live the Speed Finals. Delayed footage of the two disciplines can also be caught in America, courtesy of NBC Olympic Channel. Spectators in France may tune in to see Manuel Cornu (FRA) compete to maintain his victory after taking the win in Chongqing, with delayed finals to be streamed on L’Equipe on Sunday evening (5th May) at 21:00 CET.
Live Bouldering and delayed Speed finals are to be transmitted online by the Olympic Channel, who will show both semi’s and finals of the Bouldering World Cup live and on Eurosport Player.
Further coverage of the IFSC World Cup Wujiang will be streamed by Japanese online network Sports Bull. As with each event, the competition can be found live and later on-demand via the IFSC Youtube Channel.
