PRAGUE WELCOMES FIRST IN-PERSON IFSC OFFICIALS’ SEMINAR IN THREE YEARS

Routesetters, judges, and technical delegates of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) gathered in Prague, Czech Republic for the annual IFSC Officials’ Seminar, commencing today and concluding on Sunday, 19 February.

Organised in collaboration with the Czech National Federation, the Seminar see the participation of 34 officials – featuring 17 routesetters, 13 judges, and four technical delegates – and is hosted by the Jungle Sports Park. It is also the first IFSC Officials’ Seminar to take place in-person since 2019.

Kicking off with a session dedicated to routesetters, and topics spanning from the latest version of the Official Sport Equipment Catalogue in the Holds, Macros and Volumes categories, to the Boulder & Lead format, and the preparation for the upcoming 2023 season.

A combined session with both routesetters and judges is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, 18 February, with judges and technical delegates scheduled to meet both on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, just before departing.
