EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS MUNICH 2022 PRESS ACCREDITATION STARTS

It is our pleasure to inform you that the Accreditation application period for the multi-sport European Championships Munich 2022 taking place this summer from 11th-21st August will open as follows:

Opens: 9 March 2022
Closes: 30 June 2022

The European Championships Munich 2022 will be the biggest multi-sport event in Germany since the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics. European sport will be united once again as the existing championships of some of the continent’s leading sports come together to create a must-watch, must-attend experience that elevates the Champions of Europe.

The second edition will take place from the 11th to 21st August 2022 and will be staged by the Host City of Munich and the nine participating Federations: European Athletics, Confédération Européenne de Volleyball, European Canoe Association, Union Européenne de Cyclisme, European Gymnastics, World Rowing, International Federation of Sport Climbing, European Table Tennis Union and Europe Triathlon. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the Official Broadcast Partner of the European Championships Munich 2022.

The sports programme will feature 4,700 of Europe’s best athletes from around 50 nations competing for the highest accolade of their sport on the continent – with the title of European Champion up for grabs in 177 medal events. The nation finishing top of the overall medal table across all nine participating sports will be awarded the European Championships Trophy.
