BERN TO HOST THE 2023 IFSC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2023 IFSC Climbing and Paraclimbing World Championships will be hosted by the city of Bern (SUI).
Three candidates presented their bids for the 2023 IFSC World Championships during the XVI IFSC Plenary Assembly today. The President of the Swiss Alpine Club Ms Françoise Jacquet presented the bid from the Swiss capital city which emerged victorious after securing 28 votes from the IFSC members. Seoul (KOR) received 9 votes, and Chongqing (CHN) received 7 votes.
The IFSC Climbing and Paraclimbing World Championships is the pinnacle competition of the IFSC calendar and takes place every two years. The last edition in 2019 took place Hachioji (JPN).
