Every year, on June 23, the whole Olympic Movement celebrates Olympic Day.

In 2020, while many countries in the world are still facing the COVID-19 pandemic, the Olympic Day will see Olympians, athletes and fans from all over the world participate in the largest 24-hour digital workout.

More than 20 athletes – including Switzerland’s climber Petra Klingler – already joined the recording of an Olympic Day workout video, while on June 23, a live session will be live streamed on Instagram, crossing 20 different time zones. The IFSC will also be sharing on social media a series of workouts to try at home, starring top athletes from the Sport Climbing world.

Prior to Olympic Day, on June 22 at 6:00 pm (UTC+2:00), Canada’s athlete Sean McColl will host his own workout session on the Olympics’ Instagram profile.

The Olympic Workout will be part of the broader campaign launched and promoted by the International Olympic Committee under the hashtags #StayStrong, #StayActive and #StayHealthy, sharing daily workout and uplifting tips on how to stay healthy in body and mind during these difficult times.

About the Olympic Day: Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games on June 23 1894, Olympic Day was established in 1948 to promote participation in sport regardless of age, gender or athletic ability, as well as being an opportunity to celebrate the Olympic values around the world.
