
Take On the Tokyo 2020 Open Innovation Challenge
Tokyo 2020 has launched the "Open Innovation Challenge" in a partnership with Alibaba Cloud and Intel, and invites participants to develop prototypes using the latest Cloud and AI technologies to help enhance the spectator experience at sporting events, and more specifically the upcoming Summer Olympic Games. The challenge will focus on the new urban sports debuting next year, including Sport Climbing.
“The purpose of the event is to enhance diversity and expertise of personnel related to the engagement activities of the XXXII Olympiad currently scheduled to be held in July-August 2020, principally in and around the city of Tokyo, Japan by gathering people who have enough skill to create technological innovation and promoting the Olympic movement and the Olympic values.”
The contest will be open to everyone from any country, age of affiliation and encourages developers to create new experiences from existing concepts.
The application period will be held from 4 September to 13 October 2019.
