IFSC World Cup Villars to Gain an International Viewership

The 2019 Lead World Cup season kicks off in Villars, Switzerland this weekend, with the Speed season also continuing as stakes grow higher in the countdown to Tokyo 2020. Thanks to a number of broadcasting deals secured by the IFSC, the World Cups in Villars are set to be watched around the world.

In Japan, the IFSC World Cup Villars will be broadcast live by J Sports (2.50-6.30am JST) and in Europe, live coverage of the Lead event shall be provided by Eurosport Player. Speed finals, alongside Lead semi’s and finals, are also to be made available to watch both live and on-demand through the Olympic Channel, where the competition can be viewed internationally.

Delayed coverage of the event will firstly be offered in the USA, with NBC broadcasting the World Cup on Saturday 6th July at 8.00pm Eastern time. French channel Equipe will next broadcast the Speed event delayed on Sunday 7th at 11.10am CEST and the Lead World Cup on Saturday 13th July at 11.15am CEST. Further delayed coverage is to be provided by Japanese network TBS and Korean channel SPO TV (Eclat).

In Japan, highlights of the IFSC World Cup Villars can be watched via Sports Bull on the afternoon of Sunday 7th July and Sky A on 20th July, then a two-hour highlight show of the Villars, Chamonix and Briançon World Cups will be broadcast in August by NHK.
