Sport Climbing Homologation Test for Tokyo 2020 Takes Place in Tokyo, Japan

With less than 300 days remaining until the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, a homologation test for Sport Climbing took place this week (5-7th November) in Tokyo, Japan.

Assessing various scoring scenarios and completing a homologation test of the Omega scoring system, the three-day technical exercise involved members of the Tokyo 2020 Sport & Technology team, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Olympic Results and Information Services (ORIS) team, and providers of the Olympic Games Atos and Omega. On behalf of the IFSC, Head of Olympic Coordination Jérôme Meyer, IFSC Technical Delegate Christophe Billon and Tim Hatch, IFSC Jury President, participated in the testing procedure.
