When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
When the first time in my life I was competing internationally in Chamonix in 2006, I got the 35th place. At that time, I set a goal in my mind that one day I would be the champion of the world. Therefore definitely I had the confidence that I would reach the top-10 in the climbing world.
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
I love the feeling to compete and I enjoy the cheering and shouting from the crowds.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
The biggest struggle I am worried about is injury.
What influenced you to start competing?
Of course the love and passion about climbing brought me into that world, wanting to fight and enjoying the feeling of competing brought me to sport climbing. Also I wanted to make more friends and share my stories and feelings with them.
Who most helped you get to where you are right now?
Stay fit, keep training and learning everyday is the key. And also I had an incredible coach, Mr. Chengliang Ding, who made me who I am today.
