Personal details

When you started competing in international competitions, did you see yourself being in the top-10?
Yes, since, sadly in para-climbing, there are rarely more than 10 athletes within each category. I did better than I anticipated though. Making podium at worlds was a pleasant surprise.
What motivated you to compete rather than just to climb outside?
Essentially meeting people from the para-climbing community and the mental challenge that it entails.
What are some struggles you face as an athlete?
Definitely having to combine this with a fairly time consuming job.
What influenced you to start competing?
Rather, “who?”: friends and family!
Who most helped you get to where you are right now?
So many people I’m not going to try and list them, but most credit goes to my favorite partner Lesley, as well as to Sebastien Gnecchi, the French para-climbing team coach.
What advice could you give to Young Athletes?
Same as Lynn Hill taught us, be patient and keep it fun (which I fail at way too often…)
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
Aside from sport climbing and bouldering outside? Playing guitar when my fingers aren’t a wreck.
