After a resounding success at the IFSC Boulder World Championships in Munich, Zlagboard, the smart hangboard, will hold another hangtime contest this Friday-Sunday, September 12-14, at the Lead, Speed, and Paraclimbing World Championships in Gijón, Spain!
Any and everyone present at the World Championships in Gijón will have the chance to put their finger strength to the test from Friday 12 until Sunday 14 at the Zlagboard Contest in Gijón.
Participants will get their names listed in the official world ranking and will be able to measure themselves against some of the best climbers in the world! The best man and woman of each day will win great prizes, too!
At the last hangtime contest at the IFSC World Cup and Rock Master Festival in Arco, Italy, Alex Megos set a new world record of 02:11.88. It seems unbeatable, but anything can happen, and we're excited to see what will transpire in Gijón!
The Zlagboard with its associated application enables climbers to schedule and control their training in an innovative and highly accurate manner. Through a patented mechanism, the device activates the sensors of smartphones and automatically controls the training plans of the app. Thanks to the precise hangtime-measurement, ambitious climbers can improve their performance and evaluate the results. The standard grip sizes and the social-media-link of the app allow the comparison and exchange with climbers from all over the world.
The linear, simple design makes the board an attractive piece of furniture. It is made of pinewood, a native tree of the Dolomites.
