Director of Marketing & Communications Anne Fuynel visited Tokyo, Japan at the end of January to work on the 2017 season and focus on TV exposure within the country. As representative of the IFSC, Anne met with the JMA as well as several interested and partnering organizations. These included Synca, the agency which currently holds TV and online rights of IFSC events in Japan.
In addition Anne attended a local event organized by the Japanese company AU, which promoted Sport Climbing welcoming the public, and especially kids, to try routes for themselves.
The IFSC is confident that through events like these and productive collaboration in Japan Sport Climbing will continue to grow dramatically.
