Talented Youth B athletes put on the first display of Lead finals at IFSC Youth World Championships Innsbruck. After inspiring performances from the world’s top youth sport climbers, Japan claimed 4 medals to match Russia’s total of 13, and Colin Duffy won the third gold medal for the United States.

Welcome to our New Staff!

The IFSC welcomes Silvia Verdolini, who is joining the Sport Department as Sport Officer. Under the direction of the Sport Director and with the help of the IFSC Technical Commissions, she will coordinate and oversee the different Sport programmes (regulations changes and improvements, consultative groups, etc.).

5 medals for Japan in Youth B Bouldering

As the rain let up and the teperatures dropped the Bouldering mats welcomed the finalists of Youth B tonight. The conditions seemed perfect for Team Japan who managed to secure five of the six spots on the podium.

Youth A Race up the Speed Wall

The athletes from Youth A provided the audience with the first taste of speed for the Youth World Championships as the youngsters launched themselves up the 15 meter high wall.  Competition was delayed as nearly 200 climbers attacked the distinctive red route in the hopes of speeding their way to the podium.
