IFSC ASIA LAUNCHES FIRST ONLINE NATIONAL JUDGE COURSE FOR ASPIRING OFFICIALS

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Asian Council organised its first online course for national judges, as part of the framework of the IFSC Asia development plan, that aims to assist Member Federations in the growth of officials at a national level.

The course, which was instructed by Stanely Yeo – IFSC Technical Delegate and Chair of the IFSC Judges Commission – attracted 20 participants from eight countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

“Travel difficulties has given us the courage to launch the National Judge course online. Despite the course serving as a supporting tool, it will play an important role in the lead up to the participants’  judging internships at national competitions,” said Yeo. “I am pleased to see the enthusiasm and commitment of the participants and their readiness to work together for the development of this sport. We look forward to more courses being conducted in the upcoming years.”
